All-Prokofiev Celebration — An extraordinary selection of ballets, including Désir, On the Dnieper and Prodigal Son. Kevin McKenzie, artistic director, and Rachel S. Moore, executive director. Alumni Reunion Weekend guests will have the opportunity to meet with an American Ballet Theatre dancer before the show for a fun and lively discussion. American Ballet Theatre presented in partnership with the Columbia Alumni Arts League."
New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center
Bach, Kernis, Copland and Boléro — J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, Kernis’ world premiere of a new New York Philharmonic commissioned work for trumpet and orchestra, Copland’s Clarinet Concerto and Ravel’s Boléro. Lorin Maazel conducts. During intermission, Alumni Reunion Weekend attendees will be escorted to the green room for a meet-and-greet with composer Steven Stucky, who was presented the Pulitzer Prize in 2005 by President Lee C. Bollinger. New York Philharmonic presented in partnership with the Columbia Alumni Arts League."
